Robomower and Lawnbott Q & A

The number one thing that makes these mowers so very useful is the ability to mow the yard, go back and recharge itself and then go out and mow again WITHOUT ANY HELP!

Without a doubt the most frequently asked question I get is How does it work?  My short answer is QUITE WELL!

A wire, like those used for an invisible dog fence is run around the perimeter of the yard and around areas where the automatic lawnmower should not go such as a flower bed.  This is really a simple task that just takes a little thought.  For our local customers we provide that optional service.

The wire doesnt need to be buried.  In fact, it is best if it is just laid on top.  The grass and roots will eventually cover the wire and make it invisible.  I like to take a Steppin' Edger to stuff the wire into the ground a little.

When the robotic lawn mower runs over the wire it stops, backs up, turns, and starts going another direction.  It really is fun to watch.  Once the grass has covered the wire your friends will be awed by how it knows to stay in the yard and to avoid the garden!

All our robotic lawnmowers are great for the elderly or less mobile.
